Freebie hit the show ring going Best of Breed at 7 months old over a special! He quickly won multiple majors out of the Bred-By class under breeder judges finishing at 16 months old! Freebie placed 1st in Futurity Senior Dog at the 2023 BCOA Nationals! He went on to easily obtain his Grand Championship title with multiple majors! Freebie will stay home to mature (since he is still a young dog) and hit the occasional specialty while he works on some other titles on the front and back end of his name! He has a stunning side gait that covers a lot of ground and we are excited to give him time to grow into all of his potential!
Lure Coursing
He hit the ground running and quickly acquired multiple 4 and 5 point majors to get his AKC Field Championship at 18 months old making him a Dual Champion. Soon after, he won Best in Field in a competitive field of runners. In 2023, Freebie was the #3 ranked AKC Lure Coursing dog in the nation. Right now, he is working on his AKC LCX and close to finishing his ASFA Field Championship. He also has several GRC pts in LGRA. Lure coursing is by far his favorite way to spend his time! Freebie also finish his ASFA Field Championship at the 2024 ASFA II!
Obedience & Rally
Freebie started with Rally Novice receiving scores of 92 & 100 for a 2nd and 1st place finish at the Des Moines Obedience Training Club trials when he was 16 months old. He also obtained two additional Q's for his beginner novice title placing 2nd and 3rd. Freebie received 3rd place in Beginner Novice A at the 2023 BCOA Nationals and 4th place at Rally Novice B giving him all of the Q's needed to receive his Beginner Novice and Rally Novice titles. Right now, Freebie is working on the Novice class to potentially get his CD title!
2023 BCOA Versatility Annual Award Winner
At Luxor, we believe our Borzoi are more than a pretty face. We believe in versatility in all of the venues our dogs want to compete in. We were thrilled to be honored with the 2023 Borzoi Club of America Versatility Annual Award Winner. There was a wide field of dogs submitted and Freebie was selected as the "Top Dog" to win the honors! We are thrilled Freebie can be recognized for all his achievements in multiple venues at such a high level!

- Best In Triathlon (Freebie is a 2nd generation triathlon winner, his sire Pico has won it twice before)

- At 6 months old, Zen won his first 3 pt major under Judge Dr. Michael Woods at the Cambridge Minnesota Kennel Club.
- He then won his 2nd major under Breeder Judge Prudence Hlatky at the Midwest Borzoi Club at 8 months old and Best in Sweepstakes as well.
- At the Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club he won Best in Sweepstakes at 8 months old. At the St. Croix Kennel Club show, he won Winners Dog and Best of Opposite over 9 male specials for a 5 pt major under Judge Doug Johnson.
- The following day at the St. Croix Valley Kennel Club, Zen won a 5 pt major going Winners Dog, Best of Opposite and Best of Winners again over 9 male specials under Judge Thomas Kirstein to finish his Championship at 8 months!
Conformation - Grand Championship
-On his first day as a young special at 9 months old, Zen won Best of Breed and a Hound Group 4th under breeder judge Donelle Richards.
- Zen won Select Dog both days at the Lone Star Borzoi Club shows for (2) additional 4 pt majors under breeder Judge Pat Trotter and Judge Robin Casey.
- Zen finished his AKC Grand Championship with a big win as Select Dog under Judge Donald Sturz at the Louisville Kennel Club show at 15 months - one of the youngest GCH borzoi in AKC history!
Since he finished so young, we will be giving Zen plenty of time to grow-up and mature and are excited to watch his future specials career!
